On June 20, 2024, an agreement was signed with contractor for the renovation of the roof in the building of Primary School No. 2 in Ełk. For investments The city raised PLN 4,152,180.15 co-financing from the Government Fund Polish Deal: Investment Programme Strategic. The expected value of the investment is PLN 4,236,918.52. The amount raised is 98% Funding.

Scope of work It includes, m.in:

• replacement of degraded ceiling and truss elements roof,

• biological and fire impregnation of structures roof and ceiling

• replacement of roofing, flashings, gutters and downpipes,

• replacement of roof roof windows and dormer windows and unusable attic,

• replacement and installation of fire doors,

• execution of thermal modernization of the roof and ceiling,

• reconstruction of chimneys along with unblocking and construction of ventilation ducts,

• replacement of the lightning protection system,

• installation of sockets and lighting Attic.

Comprehensive renovation of the roof with its insulation will ensure the right temperature inside the building, which will directly affect the the comfort of students' learning and teachers' work.

The handover of the construction site is scheduled for the end of the June 2024, while the expected completion date of the investment is October 2025.
