An account of the celebrations of the 104th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw and the Polish Army Day in Ełk.

In anniversary of the "Miracle on the Vistula" and the Polish Army Day, at the monument "To the Fallen for Free and Independent Poland" On August 15, the official city celebrations.

Today, official ceremonies commemorating the 104th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw and the Polish Army Day took place. The celebrations began with a mass in the Cathedral of St. Adalbert. After it, the participants met in the Solidarity Park at the monument "To the Fallen for Free and Independent Poland".

The Ełk residents, standard posts, representatives of local governments and the parliament were accompanied by the Military Honorary Company of the 15. Giżycka Mechanized Brigade named after Zawisza Czarny. At the obelisk, there was a roll call of the fallen and flowers were laid. There was also a salute of honor.

After the official part of the ceremony, the inhabitants of Ełk met at the Family Picnic. At Lake Ełk, children could spend time playing games, competitions and plays, military equipment of the NATO Battle Group and uniformed services was also presented.
