A series of workshops "Diabetes without secrets"

From Wednesday (9 October) Pro-Medica Hospital in Ełk begins a series of four "Diabetes without secrets" workshops. The first meeting: "Diabetes, diagnosis, monitoring, treatment" will take place at 1.00 p.m. in Conference Room at the Outpatient Clinic of Family Physicians of Primary Health Care in Ełk, 24 Baranki Street. The next workshop will be devoted to the principles of healthy eating in the diet diabetes, education of patients and their families, or diabetes in pregnant women.

In Pro-Medica Hospital in Ełk is launching a series of workshops "Diabetes without secrets"

Workshop educational activities for patients and their families will be held in the Conference Room at Primary Health Care Physicians Clinic in Ełk, 24 Baranki Street on the following dates and topics:

  • 9 October, 1:00 p.m. – "Diabetes – diagnosis, monitoring, treatment."
  • 23 October, 12:00 p.m. – "Rules healthy nutrition in diabetes."
  • 6 November, 1:00 p.m. – "Insulin therapy, carbohydrate exchangers, hypoglycemia"
  • 20 November, 1:00 p.m. – "Diabetes Pregnant women"

Diabetes is a growing health and social problem. In Poland, she suffers from it over 3 million people, and it is predicted that by 2030 every tenth Pole will be struggled with this disease. Cost of benefits, medical devices and medicines used in diabetes in 2022 amounted to approx. PLN 2.5 billion.

Survey Blood sugar levels are important in the diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes. They should also be performed periodically by healthy people.
