Goal the RAZ project, TWO, THREE – MY-WE ARCHITECTURE is to increase awareness of the architecture, its function in our everyday surroundings and its importance in shaping cities and public space. The meetings will be an opportunity to understanding of the role played by both designers and citizens in the the process of creating and using the built environment. Participants will have learn the basics of design and discover how to participate in the shaping their environment.

Program Events:

12 October

15:00 Lecture and discussion: What is architecture and who is an architect?

Participants they will learn what architecture actually is, what role it plays in our lives and how architects influence the appearance and functionality of our cities. Issues related to the housing situation in Poland will be discussed and potential for urban development.

16:30 Workshop: "I have a voice – my architectural collages with the city in the background"

Participants create collages inspired by urban architecture, expressing their perspective on the relationship between man and space.

19 October

15:00 Lecture and discussion: Home – idea

What makes a house a home? How architecture affects our sense of security and Comfort? Conversations about homes in different cultures, their functions and the pursuit of harmony in the living space.

16:30 Workshop: "My home – a map of impressions"

Participants create maps of impressions, illustrating their individual perception of home Space.

26 October

15:00 Lecture and discussion: Architecture of the future

What Are there trends in modern architecture? How you can influence the future appearance of our cities? The role of sustainable design will be discussed, social participation and investment in locality.

16:30 Workshop: "I can do more – joint modelling of urban space"

Together Elements of urban space will be designed with the participants, exercising creativity and the ability to cooperate.

Admission He is free for lectures.

Workshop: Admission is free, but registration is required at the secretariat of the Ełk Cultural Centre. The number of places is limited (maximum 15 people per workshop).

Age workshop participants: 16+.

Works performed during the workshops will be presented at an exhibition in the Ełk Center Culture, summing up the whole initiative.

Instructor: Anna Ziniewicz – Ełczan, IARP architect, educator architect, co-founder of the NIWA Architekci studio. Graduate Gdańsk University of Technology and University College Dublin, which has been operating on the for the architectural development of Ełk.
