Awarding medals to the Ambassadors of Love in Ełk

Medals for long-term marital life was awarded today (November 20) by the Mayor of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz. The ceremony was attended by 6 couples who are in a relationship over 50 years.

Medals for long-term marital life is granted by the President of the Republic of Poland. The decoration is awarded to couples with at least 50 years of marriage experience.
In on behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland, presented the medals today, November 20, The Mayor of Ełk, Tomasz Andrukiewicz, accompanied by the Head of the State Office Urszula Ejsmont. 6 couples celebrated their jubilee:
- 1 couple 61 years married
- 1 couple 60 years married
- 1 couple 56 years married
- 3 couples 51 years married
President He congratulated the jubilarians and wished them all the best.
"You are An example of the fact that you can go through life in love together. Are an example for their loved ones, but also for all the inhabitants of Ełk." - said Tomasz Andrukiewicz.
In This year it was the second ceremony of awarding medals for long-term life Bed. A total of 27 pairs received medals.
To receive such a medal, spouses or relatives should apply for a medal to be awarding such a distinction at the Registry Office in Ełk.
