Exhibition presents several dozen religious graphics illustrating the Holy Scripture in the form of woodcuts, lithographs and serigraphy. It includes the works of nine outstanding authors from the sixteenth to the twentieth century, illustrating the biblical cycles of the Old and the New Testament.

The exhibition shows two approaches to religious illustration – traditional and modern. Current traditional biblical illustrations were presented by Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Gottfried Engelmann and Gustav Dore. Artists of the twentieth century, performing biblical illustrations in an unconventional way are: Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali, Otto Dix, Oscar Kokoschka and Andrzej Strumiłło.

The exhibition will be can be viewed from April 17 to May 31, 2025 during the working hours of the Ełk Center Culture.
