106 years ago, the Polish Army managed to push back and defeat the Russian army - marching to conquer the West. Victory of Poles of 15 August radically changed the fate of the war, allowing not only preserve the independence of the reborn Republic of Poland, but also save the Europe at that time. 

To commemorate this important event, in our city official celebrations and a family picnic. The celebrations will begin with a Holy Mass in the Cathedral of St. Adalbert in Ełk, then we will be able to participate in the march of the Brass Band, flag posts and delegations to the monument to Marshal Józef Piłsudski, where Ceremonies with the participation of the honorary company: 16. Reconnaissance Battalion in Ełk. From 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the square at Puławskiego Street, family picnic. We encourage everyone to participate in the celebrations commemorating this momentous victory in the history of our Homeland.
