The first edition of the Ełk Workation Festival 2026 is behind us. For five days, Ełk was a meeting place for experts, entrepreneurs, creators and people interested in a modern style of work. During the conference summarizing the event, the most important effects of the festival and the vision of the development of Ełk as a "Workation Friendly" city were presented.

Ełk Workation Festival 2026 combined the topics of remote work, new technologies, business, personal development and networking with active leisure. The program included meetings, lectures, discussions and workshops, which attracted participants interested in the idea of combining work with travel and leisure.

The first edition of the festival was attended by 500 registered participants, and the program was co-created by 28 speakers, experts and guests. Among them were, m.in. Dawid Andres, Ifi Ude, Maciej Martowicz, Sylwia Dębowska-Lenart and Dr. Katarzyna Skórzewska.

The event also met with great interest in social media. Materials related to the festival achieved a total of 1,690,626 views on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and users generated 5,958 reactions. Participants also published their own materials and reports, thanks to which information about the event and Ełk reached more recipients.

During the summary conference, the further development of the idea of workation in Ełk was also discussed. The presented vision assumes that by 2030 the city will be a recognizable workation destination in Poland and Europe, attracting digital nomads, freelancers and company teams.

Ełk has natural advantages for this – its location by the lake, proximity to nature, the possibility of active recreation and a developing cultural, recreational and business offer. This is a potential that allows us to build the image of the city not only as a place for holiday recreation, but also as a space to work and live all year round.

The first edition of the Ełk Workation Festival was an important step in promoting the city in a new context. Its effects show that Ełk can effectively combine its natural qualities with modern trends and respond to the needs of people who want to work remotely, while taking advantage of the opportunities offered by living close to nature.
