Increased traffic on Grajewska street and at the intersection with ul. the safety of pedestrians, mainly children walking alone to school and return home after class. For years, discussions have been held between the municipality of Elk and GDDKiA on the implementation of the investment, make it safer. The city also submitted its comments and proposals for planned work.

The scope of the activities covered by the invitation to tender m.in: exchange of asphalt pavement along the entire length of the route (i.e. 5 km) and the repair of damaged elements of curbs, sidewalks. The roundabout will be rebuilt Industrial and Grajewska street in the field of widening the roadway of the roundabout. This will allow you to the safe movement of lorries, which are now carrying out manoeuvres occupy one and a half lanes.  Na the intersection of Grajewska and Kolejowa streets, there will be a traffic light, which increase, in particular, the level of pedestrian safety. Renovated there will also be an overpass over the railway line of the Elk-Bialystok relationship.

Reconstruction of Industrial and Grajewska streets in Elk is part of the investment seven sections of the DK 65 with a total length of 59.1 km. These streets are national roads and are run by GDDKiA, which commissioned development of project documentation.
