On Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in the conference room of the Ełk City Hall The President of Ełk, Tomasz Andrukiewicz, handed the teachers the acts of conferring the degree appointed teacher, congratulated and wished fruitful work for children and adolescents. The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy President Ełku Artur Urbański and the head of the Department of Education Małgorzata Pikus.

The grade of appointed teacher was awarded to:

• Kindergarten No. 1 "Ekoludki" in Ełk - 3
• Municipal Kindergarten "Bajka" in Ełk - 1
• Municipal Kindergarten "Light" in Ełk - 2
• Primary School No. 1 in Ełk - 1
• Primary School No. 2 named after Danuta Siedzikówna "Inka" in Ełk - 4
• Prof. Władysław Szafer Primary School No. 4 in Ełk - 5
• Maria Konopnicka Primary School No. 5 in Ełk - 4
• Primary School No. 7 with Integration Classes in Ełk - 2
• Sports School Complex in Ełk – 3

The condition for granting the teacher the next professional promotion grade is to meet the qualification requirements, complete an internship completed with a positive assessment of the professional achievements of the teacher, and in the case of a contract teacher - passing the exam before the examination board.

During the internship period, the teacher implements his own professional development plan approved by the school head, taking into account the law specified by law requirements. At the end of the traineeship, the teacher submits to the school head a report on the implementation of that plan. The internship lasted, in the case of applying for promotion to the rank of appointed teacher - 2 years and 9 months.

A contract teacher can start an internship for a teacher's degree appointed after having worked at school for at least two years from the date of posting previous professional promotion step. The above issues in detail regulated by the Teachers' Charter Act and the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of 26 July 2018 on professional promotion grades for teachers (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 2200).
