Everyone who comes on Thursday (September 22) at 13.00 to John Paul II Square and bring with him e-waste, he will receive for them sapling seedling. As part of the action, the Mayor of the City of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz will donate 500 pieces of seedlings of spruce, pines, maples or oaks.

The idea of the project is to actively care for the environment natural and a reminder of the importance of segregation, especially e-waste, which contains numerous harmful and poisonous substances.

The most important, however, is the educational aspect, i.e. making residents aware that this type of waste must not be disposed of in the usual trash can and should be handled appropriately.

One tree seedling will be issued for 10 pieces of batteries or a small "e-waste" (phone, charger, computer mouse).

Each participant of the action can receive a maximum of two Tree.

In addition, during the action of distributing seedlings will be an opportunity to talk to an energy advisor of the Ełk City Hall about of the "Clean Air" programme. All persons interested in receiving a grant for the replacement of the heat source and comprehensive thermomodernization, they will have the opportunity consult an expert on the principles of the "Clean Air" program.
