The symbol of hope will bloom in Ełk in spring

A thousand daffodils will be planted in our city. The initiators of the initiative are: Ełk Association "Amazons" and members of the club "Seniors Seniors". In the planting was attended by students of the K.K. Baczyński School Complex No. 2 "Biały Ogólniak" and the Mayor of the City of Ełk, who emphasized the importance of preventive examinations in the early detection of breast cancer. October is Month of awareness and prevention of breast cancer.
A thousand daffodils that were planted in October 12 in road lane (greenery) at Wojska Polskiego Street and Zamkowa Street, will bloom Spring. The planting of bulbs was attended by: ladies from the Ełk Association "Amazons" and the club "Seniors to Seniors", the president of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz, and also students of the K.K. Baczyński School Complex No. 2 in Ełk "Biały Ogólniak". Daffodils will enrich our city with another place that will be enjoyed in spring eyes, but these flowers are also important a symbol for all women fighting breast cancer.
The initiative aims to remind everyone how important breast self-examination, mammography is and broadly understood oncological prophylaxis. Early detected breast cancer is the disease is almost completely curable.
