Every last Saturday of March around the world takes place WWF's Earth Hour campaign. Thanks to this initiative, in a symbolic a gesture of concern for the future of our planet, in many homes, offices, buildings or public facilities, the lights are turned off for one hour

Every year, the City of Ełk is involved in Action. Therefore, on March 25 (Saturday) from 20.30-21.30 will be switched off lighting on the following public facilities:

• buildings of the Ełk City Hall at 2 Piłsudskiego Street and 4,
• building at 3 Małeckich Street,
• building of the Ełk Cultural Center,
• the building of the Art School,
• Water Tower,
• Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
• St. Adalbert's Cathedral,
• road bridge on Zamkowa Street,
• pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Elk River.

Residents can support the initiative by turning off the lights for one hour in homes and Apartments.

Reminder that on the night of March 25 to 26 there is a change from winter to summer time. Watches We switch from 2.00 to 3.00, which is an hour ahead. We will sleep shorter and the day will be longer.
