City Guards celebrate today (August 29)
your holiday. On this occasion, a meeting was held in the Ełk Town Hall, during which
President of Ełk thanked all the guards for their service so far and
handed out promotions.
The Municipal Guard in Ełk has existed for 31 years and has been
appointed to function by the ordinance of the then President of the City of Ełk from
1 March 1992. Today in the city hall there was a meeting in which
President of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz, Deputy Mayor Mirosław took part
Hołubowicz, the commander of the Municipal Guard Krzysztof Skiba and the guards and
employees of the Municipal Guard. Also present were: Head of the Prevention Department of the Command
District Police in Ełk podinsp. Mariusz Hanc, Deputy Commander
District State Fire Service in Ełk Brig. Paweł Litwinowicz. During the ceremony, the president of Ełk thanked everyone for their commitment
and service to the residents of the city, as well as handed out promotions to higher ranks.
Currently, 20 are in service in Ełk city guards, among whom 7 women work. Commander The Municipal Guard is Krzysztof Skiba, who serves in the Municipal Guard continuously since 1992.
