While the western territory Polish was attacked by German troops, from the east Poland was attacked by Soviet state. Soviet troops entered the eastern territories of II Rzeczpospolita at dawn on 17 September 1939, violating international law.

Soviet aggression accelerated the fall and partition of our country, which at that moment irretrievably lost its territory in the Eastern Borderlands. Poland and its citizens found themselves in trap. Deportations to Siberia, persecution of Poles, crime against Polish officers in Katyn and the subsequent dependence on Moscow were the aftermath of the German and allied Red Army on our country.
