Office of the City of Ełk, Environmental Education Centre, Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre and the Municipal Department of Transport invite you to join the celebration European Mobility Week 2024

What Are we in for this event?

• 16-22 September – "I use MZK" campaign

Instead of Cars Choose public transport. You need to fill in the declaration, attach it to validated MZK tickets on 16-22 September, or a photocopied monthly ticket, decade and you should write a short information about traveling by public transport and bring them to the Ecological Education Center in Ełk by the 25th day of the September 2024 to receive a gift.

•  17 September – Great lesson of ecology - Time: 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., meeting place: CEE in Ełk, 12 Parkowa St., meeting led by: Małgorzata Meller

Healthy and organic nutrition does not have to be based only on expensive products with BIO and ECO labels purchased in health food stores. Ecologically and healthily is primarily natural, i.e. using foods as little processed as possible, regional and seasonal seasonality.

This The meeting is a praise of the return to the traditional, local and seasonal flavors that my grandmother knows very well, Your great-grandmothers, and all the grandmothers and great-grandmothers of the world, because they are a natural consequence of their life in harmony with nature and its rhythm.

• 19 September - "I know – I ride safely, i.e. a cyclist in the light of traffic regulations." 17:00, Place of the lecture: CEE in Ełk, 12 Parkowa St.

Whether Can a child ride on a bicycle path? In What equipment to equip your bike? Can a cyclist move on the pavement? How much will it cost a cyclist to violate the rules?

Doubt will be dispelled by: Olga Milewska and Marcin Lutów from the Society of Sightseeing and Tourism Actively answering the above (as well as other) questions.

• September 20 "Bicycle Tournament"

Possibility students to face issues related to the rules of the road and checking the ability to move in city traffic. Struggles Team.  In the garden of the Education Center Ecological School, students of grades IV-VIII will overcome an obstacle course and a specific route with respect to horizontal and vertical signs. Participants have a good time and at the same time test their ability to participate properly in urban traffic. The best teams will be awarded.

Deadline applications until 18 September.

• 20 September Nordic Walking March - Recreation in harmony with nature – start of the march at 11:00 a.m., ul. Zamkowa (behind the Eck stage), the Rally will be led by: Alicja Tracichleb – Salik – Nordic Walking Instructor,

Nordic Walking with elements of slow jogging, mindfulness and forest bathing. Organized Nordic Walking marches are recreation in harmony with nature, training in slow pace, active exploration of nature and oneself, training mindfulness.

Route: Ełk – Chruściele – Ełk (approx. 7 km), Time duration of the march: approx. 2.5 hours. After the march, a bonfire in CEE in Ełk (products on our own)

Entries are not required.

• September 21 – Family bike rally - start: 2:00 p.m. - parking in front of CEE in Ełk, 12 Parkowa Street, the rally will be led by Zbigniew Ostrowski from TKiTA

Through forests, hills and fields, among backwaters and old cemeteries hidden in groves – cycling around the Lake Ełk. ROUTE: around the Ełk Lake (about 14 km), time until 4:00 p.m. At the end of the event, there will be a bonfire in CEE garden in Ełk (provisions on your own)

• September 22 "Car-Free Day"

World Car-Free Day is initiative to change habits of the use of the individual means of transport and their conversion  to more environmentally friendly ones. On this day, everyone is entitled to to free travel by MZK Ełk.
