November 11, 1918 is undoubtedly one of the most important dates in the history of Polish. After 123 years of partitions, Poland regained its independence - in This year we are celebrating the 107th anniversary of this event. We invite you to take participation in events organized on November 11 in Ełk.

Course Independence 2025

At 11:11 a.m., the Run will start from the Municipal Stadium Independence. It is an event that gathers a lot of runners every year dressed in white and red colors. Start at 11:11 from the Municipal Stadium at ul. Piłsudskiego 27. The run will take place at a distance of 2, 4 or 6 km.

Participation in the run is free. The limit of places is 950 people.

Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. and will last until 11:00 a.m.

Holy Mass for the Homeland

At 12:00 p.m., a mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral of St. Adalbert holidays for the Homeland, which will be presided over by the Bishop of Ełk, Bishop Jerzy Mazur. The setting will be taken care of by the Kontrapunkt Choir under the direction of Rafał Sulima.

A solemn march to the monument march. Józef Piłsudski

At 1:15 p.m., the March of the Municipal Wind Orchestra is planned, Honorary Company of the Polish Army, flag posts and delegations from Cathedral of St. Adalbert to the monument march. Józef Piłsudski. Procession will go to the Town Hall, where ceremonies will take place with the participation of the Military Honorary Company of the First Rocket Squadron from Orzysz.

Virtual Walk around Ełk

From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., we invite you to the Leszek Błażyński Hall for "Virtual walk around Ełk". Thanks to VR technology, you will be able to look at Ełk from a different perspective. Admission.

The final of the XVIII Song Festival and Patriotic Song

At 5:00 p.m. in the Ełk Cultural Centre, the winners will perform in the finals of the XVIII Festival of Patriotic Song and Song. Admission.

Little Pole 2025

A day later, on November 12 at 12:00 p.m., the youngest residents of Ełk Together they will sing the national anthem. This is another edition of the "Little Pole 2025", which is coordinated by the Municipal Kindergarten "Światełko".

In addition, to celebrate the 107th anniversary of Poland regaining independence, the building of the City Hall and the District Office will be illuminated in white and red colors on November 10-11.
