The city of Ełk has signed a contract for the revitalization of the square at ul. Słowackiego. The works are to begin in the second half of April.

The investment is carried out as part of the project "Improvement of functionality of two squares in the revitalization area in Ełk", which received co-financing from the European Funds for Warmia and Mazury for the years 2021-2027. covers 85% of the investment costs.

The main assumption of the project is the development of space promote social inclusion and improve safety in the the area of the city center of Ełk.

The square at Słowackiego Street has an area of approx. 2,617.29 m2. The project assumes a division into a leisure and representative zone to commemorate the soldiers of the September Campaign.

The scope of the investment is provided for m.in:

• construction of pedestrian routes with squares in the form of circles made of granite cubes
• , the construction of a pedestrian route with a pavement resin-mineral path (auxiliary path)
construction of a
• sensory path with a surface variety of natural pebbles, pine cones, bark, bricks, wood, gravel, etc.
• construction of two pergolas with a diameter of 4 m and 4.6 m,
• construction of lighting - 30 pcs.,
• construction of monitoring,
construction of a
• drinking water drinking fountain with a connection water and sewage,
• installation of elements of small architecture: baskets for dirt, benches, bicycle racks, gaming tables with seats, cross, flagpoles,
• planting greenery,
• renovation of the existing monument,
installation of an
• information board in the form of tape film.

Works on the implementation of the investment are planned to begin in the second half of April. The contractor of the investment is AMPRI B-K Rafał Pycz Paving and Stonemasonry Company.

Total value of the project: PLN 4,050,665.84

EU co-financing: PLN 3,443,065.95
