Dominik Wania began to gain recognition on the music market by playing alongside Tomasz Stanko. He received an invitation from the legendary jazzman immediately after graduating from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. During a four-year cooperation with the trumpeter, in his band, Wania met his next musical partner – saxophonist Maciej Grabara, whose quartet he co-creates to this day. One of the most important Polish formations of recent years allowed the pianist to develop his talent and start an international career. Together with the band Obary, he visited the best jazz halls and festivals in the world, and also recorded six albums, the last two of which were also included in the ECM Records catalog. Wania works in many ways, because apart from performances and recordings in numerous jazz constellations, she also devotes herself to didactic work within the walls of the Academy in Krakow and Katowice, and also records film music in cooperation with Zbigniew Preisner.
