The White Lily Awards have been awarded since 2007 for outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of the city of Ełk (this is the sixteenth edition Competition).

The idea of the competition is to distinguish people who in a special way with their daily work, activity and commitment serve the city and its residents, contributing to the promotion of Elk.

Awards are awarded to natural persons, legal entities and other entities for special achievements in the previous calendar year or for the total activity in one of eight categories: Patron of Sport, Athlete of the Year, Artistic Award, Patron of Culture, Ambassador of Ełk, Entrepreneur of the Year, Worthy Attitude Imitation, Special Award.

In this edition 18 applications were received, which were considered by the chapter composed of:

1. Mr. Artur Urbański – Deputy President of the City of Ełk;

2. Mr. Andrzej Sewastianowicz - (Water supply and sewerage company Sp. z o. o. in Ełk – representative) – Winner of the White Lily Award 2018 in the Patron of Sport category;

3. Mr. Oskar Sosnowski – Laureate White Lily Awards 2015 in the Athlete of the Year category;

4. Mrs. Agnieszka Danielewicz (College Applied Sciences of the University of Economy in Bydgoszcz – Branch in Ełk – representative) – Winner of the White Lily Award 2015 in the Patron category Culture;

5. Mr. Klemens Rydzewski – Laureate White Lily Awards 2008 in the Special Award category;

6. Mr. Lech Janczak – (Guild of Various Crafts and Entrepreneurship in Ełk – representative) – Winner of the White Lily Award 2014 in the category Entrepreneur of the Year;

7. Mr. Piotr Karpienia – Laureate White Lily Awards 2011 in the Category of Artistic Award.

8. Mr. Nikodem Kemicer – Laureate White Lily Awards 2011 in the category of Attitude Worthy of Imitation.

This year the Chapter recommended awarding 7 awards and 7 distinctions. Award ceremony The awards took place on 22 September 2022 at the Ełk Cultural Centre. The winners were honored Mayor of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz and Chairman of the Ełk City Council Włodzimierz Szelążek.
